Long Beach Community Notification System
The City of Long Beach has launched a new Community Notification System called Genasys ALERT. The new system will go live on January 1, 2025 and replaces Everbridge. Genasys ALERT will be used to communicate both emergency and non-emergency public safety topics including severe weather, evacuations, potential life safety events, etc.
Even if you are already signed up for Long Beach notifications, we ask that you take a few minutes to register with Genasys ALERT. This will provide us with up-to-date information. If you do not have a password, just click on forgot password using the email address you previously registered with.
All residents are encouraged to sign up for alerts at: https://alertlongbeachny.genasys.com/portal/en
During the registration process, you can choose the types of alerts you receive and how to receive them, including landline phone, cell phone, text/SMS message and email. During the registration process you have the ability to customize the order you wish to receive alerts. To receive targeted messages by location, we encourage you to add your home address when registering. (this is helpful for power outage or hydrants flushing notifications).
You can add multiple addresses, for example a home address and work address. The information entered into the system is for the purposes of communicating emergency and official City of Long Beach information only – neither Genasys or the City of Long Beach will share or sell your information. Register or access your account below.
