HAMLET residence- 378 W. PINE st.

ORIGINALLY BUILT IN 1915 AS PART OF A MOVIE SET FOR "KNIGHTS OF THE ROUND TABLE" THIS IMPRESSIVE TUDOR WAS SOLD BY MgM STUDIOS TO GEORGE MCMANUS, THE CARTOONIST WHO CREATED "BRINGING UP FATHER", WHICH FEATURED Maggie & jinx. He admired the 40 ft. high wall for the movie set, and had the house completed after filming the silent movie. Mr. Mcmanus lived in this English tudor for many years. It displays a handsome façade featuring huge timbers and stucco. Two stone lions (patience and fortitude) stand guard over the two story high living room and as an outstanding stained glass window. The present owner, Luke hamlet, is busy restoring the house and adjoining carriage house.
