Sewer Lateral Program

Private Sewer Laterals are the pipes which run beneath your property that transport sewage and wastewater from your property to the City’s wastewater treatment plant. Most sewer laterals were originally constructed with cast iron, and have exceeded their estimated lifespan.  To help property owners achieve compliance with local, state, and federal laws, and to further promote the preservation of our waters, the City has contracted Brady Risk Environmental to fulfill the requirements of the Program as the City’s own vendor.  The program is designed to help you address and solve any issues you experience with your sewer lateral pipe and save money!  You can find more information about Brady Risk on their webiste.

The annual enrollment period for the City of Long Beach Private Sewer Lateral Program is open now through Tuesday, December 15th.

You should have received information in the mail regarding this program. If you did not, you can download the information below. A copy of the opt out form is available below as well.

The open enrollment period gives homeowners the opportunity to change their enrollment status with the program or to sign up. (If you are in the program and wish to remain in the program, you do not need to do anything – this is only for those who wish to change their status).
