Water/Sewer Administration

The Water/Sewer Administration is responsible for the billing and collection of all charges pertaining to water and sewer services, maintaining records of water meters, and actual reading of all water meters within the City of Long Beach.   All water meters are read quarterly and bills for Water and Sewer are issued on a quarterly basis, bills are based on an actual reading.  Unpaid balances are subject to a 1.5% penalty billed monthly and compounded quarterly.   

 

The Water/Sewer Administration also handles administrative tasks, including the sale of homes, disconnection of water and sewer lines, hydrant flow tests, and activation of new accounts. We sell the water meters and electronic reading devices required to be in all homes. We act as a billing agent for the Sewer Lateral Insurance program provided by Brady Risk Environmental.
