TOWING & STORAGE OF ABANDONED & IMPOUNDED VEHICLES
When:Objective
The City of Long Beach is seeking proposals from qualified vendors for the towing and storage of abandoned and impounded vehicles within the confines of the City of Long Beach.
Proposer must submit a resume in writing of his experience in this business.
Background and Available Information
The proposal will be awarded to the vendor who can comply with all of the specifications after an investigation to the satisfaction of the Police Department and the City of Long Beach.
The City of Long Beach reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, to waive all formalities on same and to accept those proposals which are to the best interest of the City of Long Beach.
The proposer agrees to comply with all laws, rules and regulations of the Federal, State and Local governments, as well as licensing laws of the City of Long Beach. At the time of the award, Proposer must possess a valid New York State Salvage and Dealer’s License/Certificate, a valid New York State Vehicle Dismantler’s License along with a valid tow car license from the City Clerk of the City of Long Beach. Further, the proposer must also maintain and operate a body shop which is duly licensed by the appropriate licensing authority.
VENDOR MUST SUPPLY COPY OF INSURANCE CERTIFICATE WITH PROPOSAL.
THE SUCCESSFUL PROPOSER SHALL PROVIDE A PERFORMANCE BOND IN THE AMOUNT OF TEN THOUSAND ($10,000.00) DOLLARS.
