RFP-swim programs-114
When:INTRODUCTION
The City is soliciting requests for proposals (RFP) from qualified vendors to operate a swim program at the City Aquatic Center that will provide opportunities for the community to, among other things, learn and develop swimming skills, as well as participate in competitive swimming programs and related training and lifeguard certification courses.
The City Aquatic Center houses a 6-lane 25-yard municipal pool, together with a separate diving pool, men’s and ladies’ steam rooms, lockers, showers, bathing suit dryers and changing rooms.
Vendors may be selected from among responding vendors based on a thorough analysis of each vendor’s ability to provide the City with the highest demand and quality programs.
Vendors should seek to establish and maintain a disciplined approach to management and operating services, and have an understanding that safety, profit, revenue-share, attendance and fun are the key priorities in managing and operating a successful swim program. Vendors must be committed to providing the highest level of service for staffing. They must also recognize the need for pool-related programs and activities to add excitement to the community and build long lasting relationships.
It is the responsibility of the vendor to determine that adequate space and utilities are available to support their specific program needs. The City will work to meet each vendor’s needs when possible. The City also reserves the right to make changes and adjustments to City Aquatic Center assignments before and/or during any program, to accommodate City-run programs or needs.
Vendors are responsible for their own activity set-ups and break downs. Vendors are responsible to leave the City Aquatic Center as they found it upon arrival. Any and all equipment and supplies needed for a program are at the sole expense of the vendor. The City does not guarantee storage space for programs.
