Professional Mentoring, Educational and Job Placement Services for the Economically Disadvantaged Residents of the City of Long Beach, New York

Objective

 

The City of Long Beach, (the “City”), is seeking proposals for professional mentoring, educational and job placement services for the economically disadvantaged residents of the City of Long Beach, New York. The City is seeking proposals from highly qualified organizations to provide the requested services.

 The City anticipates that the selected organization will be an awarded a contract period of an initial one (1) year term with four (4) subsequent one (1) year renewals. All renewals will be contingent upon mutual and written agreement, available funding and, when applicable, approval of the City Council.

  

Program Specifications

 The minimum professional services (the “Program Specifications”), which the City seeks includes, but is not limited to, the following: 

  • Recruitment and identification of approximately 35 – 40 qualified youth candidates to participate in such program;
  • Vocational assessments including evaluations and follow-up coaching sessions;
  • Transitional coaching/guidance services to ensure candidates stay on track;
  • Group educational workshops gearing to employment;
  • Internships in established business entities;
  • Employment placement services.
