Costume Parade

The City of Long Beach Department of Parks and Recreation will hold its annual Halloween Costume Parade in conjunction with the Fall Festival on Sunday, October 13th. This popular long-standing tradition will begin at 12:00 pm from Veteran's Park located at the Recreation Center Campus on Magnolia Blvd and the bay. The Costume Parade is sponsored by the Long Beach CSEA, the Commanding Officers Association and the Long Beach Professional Firefighters.

Children in grades 5 and under are invited to participate by wearing their favorite costumes. All children in costume at the Halloween Parade will receive a trick-or-treat bag filled with goodies including passes for a free public skating session at the Long Beach Ice Arena.

Line up/registration takes place at the Rec Center beginning at 11:00am. Participants will march from Veteran’s Park to Kennedy Plaza and join in the Fall Festival. Prizes for the best costume will be awarded on the bandwagon at the end of the parade. Who will win the trophy for best costume? Come join us!

What will the best costume be? Who will take home the trophies? We can't wait to see all the fabulous costumes!

P.O.P tickets to attractions at the Fall Festival will also be on sale at the line-up area of the costume parade.

The Fall Festival will take place in Kennedy Plaza from 10am-5pm Saturday and Sunday.
