The City of Long Beach Code of Ordinances states that ALL residents, residential and commericial, are responsible to keep sidewalks, curbs and gutters clean.  Private residences are responsible to clean 18" from the curb cut into the street.

The City of Long Beach Street Maintenance Department is committed to keeping our city beautiful.  Street Maintenance crews will be sweeping, weeding, removing debris from the residential streets and gutters.

Spring/Summer street cleaning begins in May and continues through August.  The Department will give weekly updates on the locations of the crews to keep residents informed of the affected area so that you can remove your car so that they can clean efficiently. 

Street cleaning dates are subject to change because of weather.
