FEMA Public Assistance Program Hazard Mitigation Plan Project – 150 West Pine Complex

Consultant Fee(Design): $195,000

FEMA Funding Approved for Construction: $3,068,378 Description: The City applied for and was granted funding in the amount of $3,068,378 to perform the following work at the City of Long Beach 150 West Pine Street Complex:

a. Floodproof the entire complex via an exterior masonry wall installed to the Design Flood Elevation (DFE)

b. Install stop log system at entry/egress points

c. Install sump pumps

d. Remove and replace interior concrete slab to prevent upheaval

e. Install elevated emergency generator to power the facility in the event of a catastrophic event.

Plans are 100 % complete. Need to discuss schedule and implications of bidding this $3 million project. We currently envision commencing in the 2021/2022 budget year.
