Taxicab Board

The taxicab board shall consist of three (3) members, to be appointed by the city manager for a term of one year, to serve without salary or other benefits, as follows:

          One member shall be appointed from the taxi industry

          One member shall be appointed from the public community

          One member shall be appointed from the city government

 

General Duties of the Taxicab Board:
  1.  Advise and make recommendations to the city manager and/or the deputy police commissioner, when requested by either of them, concerning taxi fares, tax stands, service, licenses, medallions, and any other matters pertaining to the operation of taxicabs in the city;
  2. Advise and make recommendations to the city council concerning the enactment of laws regarding any matter referred to in the preceding subsection (a).
