Photo or Film Shoot Application

A filming permit is required for individuals and businesses wishing to conduct commercial film, television, video, photography and all other media use projects taking place on City property or private property. Filming on the beach or boardwalk is prohibited Memorial Day through Labor Day.

Wedding, prom and other photos taken for personal use on City property, including the beach, do not require a film/photography permit, even if you are using a professional photographer; however, please notify lbevents@longbeachny.gov so that our Police Department and Beach Park Office are made aware. This does not include video or any shoot that uses more than one handheld camera.
