George Ennis

George and his wife Maureen live in the West End, where they raised their four children and are now proud grandparents to two. A graduate of Syracuse University, George is an International Sales Executive with FedEx. Before moving into sales, he spent time as a high school business administration teacher and also worked in several Long Beach establishments, experiences that kept him closely connected to the community. Along the way, George has pursued professional acting and writing and has completed two New York City Marathon races. George has always been deeply involved in Long Beach and has contributed his time and energy in many ways over the years. He founded and organized GEFF, a local film festival that benefited the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, served as a committee member and volunteer with the Michelle O’Neill Foundation, and chaired the Long Beach Irish Heritage Day Parade. He is also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Honor Guard and has organized numerous West End block parties, helping bring neighbors together and strengthen community connections. Rooted in family, work, and service, George brings to the City Council a practical understanding of the community, a strong work ethic, and a genuine commitment to the people of Long Beach.
