10-Mile Race to Remember

The City of Long Beach Department of Parks and Recreation's 49th Annual City Manager’s 10 Mile Race to Remember, Those Who Gave The Supreme Sacrifice, in memory of race founder Ralph Kaplan, takes place this Sunday, May 24, 2026.

The Race to Remember is one of our premier events, and we are happy to be able to host the event. More importantly, we are proud to honor those men and women who have made the supreme sacrifice. You’ll find many runners decked out in patriotic clothing, carrying American Flags and even active duty and retired military in uniform.
This will be the 49th Annual race, and we can’t think of a better way to start off the summer season, then by paying tribute to our military while staying fit and enjoying all that Long Beach has to offer.
