The Snow Emergency remains in effect as snow clearing operations are still ongoing and crews will again be working throughout the night. We will keep you updated.
Tomorrow (Tuesday, January 27th) there will be West sanitation pickup and all city facilities will re-open.

City crews are out this morning continuing to clear the roads. If you have to go out, please use caution as the cold temperatures have caused icy conditions.
Some important reminders:
City Hall and the Recreation Campus are CLOSED to the public today, Monday, January 26th.
Also, there is NO sanitation pickup today (Monday).
The NYS Office of Court Administration has advised us that our City Court is CLOSED today.
The LIRR is operating on a weekend schedule on Monday.
Buses will be following the LIRR’s modified schedule for Monday, January 26th.

Update Friday, January 23th 1:00 pm
In anticipation of a significant winter storm, the City of Long Beach is declaring a Snow Emergency effective 9 PM Saturday, January 24th. In order for snow removal efforts to work effectively, the City needs your cooperation.
All vehicles must be removed from Snow Emergency Routes from 9 PM Saturday until the Emergency is lifted. For detailed information on Snow Emergency routes and procedures, please visit
www.LongBeachNY.gov/SnowThe recreation complex will be closed both Sunday the 25th and Monday the 26th. On Monday the 26th, there will be NO sanitation pickup and City Hall will be closed to the public.
Buses will continue to operate on schedule unless the LIRR suspends service, at which point in time buses would do the same.
For your own safety and to ease snow removal operations, please avoid all unnecessary travel during the storm.
