Fall Hydrant Flushing

The Long Beach Water Transmission Department will conduct Fall hydrant flushing beginning Saturday, November 1 through November 15 between the hours of 9pm and 5am.

This semi-annual flushing is done to remove sediments from the system and helps to ensure proper water pressure. During this time, you may experience some low pressure or water discoloration. The process will begin on Riverside Boulevard and Park Avenue and is expected to proceed both east and west, one to two blocks each night. We will be updating the approximate location of flushing daily.
