Commercial Garbage Pickup: (Park Avenue and West Beech Street business districts) takes place 7 days a week

  • Trash bags should not be larger than twenty (20) gallon capacity and are required to be placed in a proper container with a close fitting lid.
  • All containers and trash bags should not exceed 40 pounds.
  • Please use proper strength garbage bags. Garbage bags that have holes and are leaking liquids MUST be double-bagged to prevent leakage onto sidewalks.
  • Commercial establishments are required to have proper grease traps, if applicable, and have arranged for grease disposal service as the Sanitation Department does not pick up grease.

Commercial Spring/Summer Dinner Schedule Pickup: May through October.

The dinner schedule will consist of two additional daily garbage pickups along Park Avenue & Beech Street in the commercial business areas.  The first run will be from 4:30pm - 6:30pm and the second from 8:30pm - 10:30pm.

It is the Sanitation Department's goal to maintain cleanliness during the City's busiest time of year.   We all want residents and visitors to enjoy the beauty of our "city by the sea".
