LIRR Parking:

Rates:

Long Beach Residents:         $250.00

Non- Residents:                     $300.00

 

In Person:

Permits are available in the City Clerk’s office, City Hall Room 307, Monday through Friday from 9am until 5pm (4pm July 1 - Sept. 15).  Payment can be made by credit card (MasterCard or Visa), money order or cash.  If paying by check, applications will be held for seven (7) business days and permits mailed.

 

By Mail:

Send in a completed application along with a copy of your car registration and a check or money order (payable to City of Long Beach) to:

If paying by check, applications will be held for seven (7) business days and permits mailed.  You must include a copy of your Driver's License and your telephone number if paying by check.

 

Please note:  If your registration does not include a Long Beach address, please include a copy of your property tax bill or lease to show Long Beach residency.

 

Daily metered parking:

Central parking meters are available for daily parking for $0.50 per hour from 5:00am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday (year round), and 5:00am – 5:00pm weekends (from June 1^st – Labor Day).  Exact change is required.  Meters accept bills, coins, Visa and MasterCard. 

Commuter permit parking:

Parking permits are valid from July 1^st – June 30^th.  Permits can be used for any numbered space in the LIRR parking structure or in the designated spaces on J.J. Evans Blvd.  Permits are not valid for use in any other municipal lot.

 

FEES:

Permits for Long Beach residents are $250.00 per year; non-residents are $300.00 per year.   Fees are pro-rated after October 1^st:

• FOR RESIDENT PERMITS:  A copy of your NEW YORK STATE CAR REGISTRATION INDICATING A LONG BEACH ADDRESS must be submitted with your application.  If vehicle is not registered in Long Beach, please submit a copy of lease or tax bill showing a Long Beach address with name of registrant along with a copy of your registration.  If you have a company vehicle, a letter of authority must be included with your application.
• No commercial vehicles.  Vehicles with passenger plates being used for commercial purposes are prohibited. Vehicles found in violation will be summonsed and impounded.
• Permit must be displayed on rear view mirror.
• ALL FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
• PERMITS WILL NOT BE REPLACED IF LOST OR STOLEN.
• PARKING STRUCTURE MAY BE CLOSED TO PUBLIC PARKING DURING STORMS/EMERGENCIES

Resident Parking Permits:

 

Resident parking permits allow for parking in any of the following municipal lots:

 

Georgia Av. & W. Beech St. Maryland Av. & W. Beech St. (SW Corner) Virginia Av. & W. Beech St. Vermont St. & W. Beech St. Connecticut Av. & W. Beech St. Center Mall Lot 700 Block W. Park Ave (South Side) Long Beach Rd. & Walnut St.	200 Block Shore Rd
The above lots allow 2 Hour Parking Mon – Fri from 8AM – 8PM.  No permit is required during this period.   A Resident sticker is required at all other times.	The above lots require a resident decal at all times

 

 

PLEASE NOTE: Resident parking permits are not valid for parking in the LIRR parking structure.  

 

 

• PROOF OF RESIDENCE IS REQUIRED – NEW YORK STATE CAR REGISTRATION INDICATING A LONG BEACH ADDRESS must be submitted with your application.  If vehicle is not registered in Long Beach, please submit  a copy of lease or property tax bill showing a Long Beach address in the name of the registrant along with a copy of your registration.  If you have a company vehicle, a letter of authority must be included with your application.
• Fee:  $50.00 per vehicle.
• No Refunds
• NO COMMERCIAL VEHICLES.  Vehicles with passenger plates being used for commercial purposes are prohibited. Vehicles found in violation will be summonsed and impounded.
• Permit must be displayed on the driver's side rear bumper.
• Permit expires December 31^st.
• PERMITS WILL NOT BE REPLACED IF LOST OR STOLEN.  Replacement permits (for new vehicles) will only be issued if old permit is turned in.
• Vehicle must park head in.

• No vehicle with a parking permit shall park or stand in any of the parking fields continuously for more than fourteen (14) hours on week days and twenty-four (24) hours on weekends and holidays.
