NYR Girls Hockey Returns to Long Beach This Winter!

City of Long Beach Ice Arena
The City of Long Beach Municipal Ice Arena, located at 150 West Bay Drive
at the Recreation Campus, is open year-round
and offers public skating, sticks & pucks sessions,
youth and adult hockey programs & freestyle sessions for figure skaters.
Please Note: We do not host birthday parties.
Learn to Skate Program
Our second Learn to Skate session — the Winter Learn to Skate Program — will begin the weekend of January 10th & 11th and will run for 5 weeks. Classes are held from 11:45am–12:15pm, and you’ll choose either Saturday or Sunday (one day only). The cost is $180 for the full session, which includes skate rentals. This program is for boys & girls ages 5 through 14.
Registration will open on Thursday, December 11th at 2pm. Click link above or here for application.
Please note that you must register in person or over the phone, and payment in full is required to hold your child’s spot. Classes fill up quickly, and space is very limited due to a limited number of instructors.

Youth Hockey Winter/Spring 2025 House League
Registration for our 2026 season will open Monday, January 5th at 2pm. The program officially begins on Monday, February 2nd. As always, the first two weeks will be dedicated to evaluations so we can assess each child’s skill level and create balanced teams.

Fall In-House Hockey Clinic
Our current Fall In-House Hockey Clinic began in October 2025 and runs for 10 weeks. Sessions are held on Mondays from 5:15 PM – 6:15 PM.
- Registration for the Fall House League Clinic is closed as of September 23rd. We are at capacity for this program.

Junior Rangers Rookie Series
The New York Rangers are continuing to grow the future of RangersTown with the Junior Rangers Rookie Series, a program specially designed in cooperation with USA Hockey to introduce young beginners to the game of hockey. Children will experience the fun and excitement of hockey, while learning the basic skills needed to enjoy the sport and have success on the ice.
This is a private program run by the New York Rangers organization, any questions about registration must go directly to them at junior.rangers@msg.com
The next Junior Rangers programs will begin in November 2026. You must sign up through the NYR.
