City of Long Beach Ice Arena

The City of Long Beach Municipal Ice Arena, located at 150 West Bay Drive
at the Recreation Campus, is open year-round
and offers public skating, sticks & pucks sessions,
youth and adult hockey programs & freestyle sessions for figure skaters. 
Please Note: We no longer host birthday parties.
 
  We do not have General Public Ice Skating sessions Monday through Friday unless the Long Beach School District is closed for a holiday.
Our winter break schedule begins on Monday, December 23rd, and ends on Friday, January 3rd – will be posted soon!

Junior Rangers Rookie Series

The New York Rangers are continuing to grow the future of RangersTown with the Junior Rangers Rookie Series, a program specially designed in cooperation with USA Hockey to introduce young beginners to the game of hockey. Children will experience the fun and excitement of hockey, while learning the basic skills needed to enjoy the sport and have success on the ice.
  This is a private program run by the New York Rangers organization, any questions about registration must go directly to them at junior.rangers@msg.com
Please note: There are no NYR programs scheduled for the following dates due to the winter break, we will resume on Friday, January 3rd & Saturday, January 4th.

Youth Hockey Winter/Spring 2025 House League

Join our Winter/Spring 2025 House League starting Monday, February 3rd! Players (ages 6–9 and 10–12) will enjoy 2 evaluation skates before being placed on balanced teams. Weekly sessions run from strictly on Mondays, 5:15 PM–6:15 PM (Ages 6–9) or 6:30 PM–7:30 PM (Ages 10–12). The $300 fee includes a team jersey, and schedules will be provided once teams are set. Registration opens after the New Year—don’t miss out on the action!

Learn to Skate Program

Please note: Both the current Fall/Winter 2024-2025 Saturday and Sunday classes are FULL. Upcoming classes coming soon!

Our next Learn to Skate Program begins on the weekend of January 25th and 26th. The program runs for eight weeks, but as always only six classes are scheduled, as we will take a two-week break during President's Week vacation. Sessions will be held on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM. Participants are required to choose between Saturday or Sunday for this once-a-week, 30-minute program. Please be aware that advanced registration and full payment are necessary.

Registration opens on Monday, January 6th for the next class, you can call 516-705-7385 and ask for Joanne or Elizabeth.
