Mission
The mission of the Department of Community Development is to support communities in need by improving public facilities & infrastructure, enhancing quality of life, and expanding economic opportunities principally for low to moderate income residents.
Services
The department utilizes Community Development Block Grant Entitlement Program (CDBG) funds, as well as other federal and state sources, in order to accomplish its goals. It is responsible for administering the CDBG program and assisting in planning and implementing special projects and initiatives within Long Beach.
