Boards and Commissions

The City of Long Beach has Commissions and Boards which consist of volunteer members of the community. Below you can find a brief description of each Commission or Board with term dates when applicable.

If you would like to sign up to volunteer for a Board or Commission, please click here to fill out our online application. In addition, resumes and cover letters can be emailed to boards@longbeachny.gov or mailed to City Hall, One West Chester Street, Long Beach NY 11561 

Applications are accepted on a rolling bases throughout the year. At the close of the calendar year, we purge all applications.  You are encouraged to re-apply in the new calendar year.

Currently there are vacancies on the following boards: Architectural Review Advisory Board, Arts Council, Board of Ethics, Environmental Advisory Board,  Public Safety Commission and the newly created Planning Board.
